Emma Lee Gough is a speculative fiction and fantasy writer based in Brisbane, Queensland. When she isn’t working on her first novel, she is reading, binge watching television shows or jogging.

Emma grew up in Bundaberg, a place famous for its rum and sugar. As a child, she enjoyed escaping into imaginary worlds as Bundaberg was too boring for her tastes.

After leaving Bundaberg, she studied a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Queensland, worked as a journalist, studied a Master of Arts at Deakin University, traveled and got married among other things.
